Turkey Run Weekend

So we missed the storms in western Indiana and we were welcomed by heat and about 85% humidity. That's fine. After the set up of the camper and our tent for Whit & Drew, we headed out for a hike at about 7:30 pm on Friday night. During this hike, our camera finally gave out, so all I have are a few pictures to share.

Other than that, it was a great weekend! Whit & Drew joined us for their first camping trip as hubby and wife, and seemed to have a good time! We had a great time with them. The hiking on Saturday was great as well as a relaxing afternoon by the pool and then a lovely evening by the fire! A few s'mores for those who wanted, which, I believe, was everyone! Some great stories and star gazing. We had gone to a planetarium show just that afternoon so we were trying to figure out the constellations the instructor had shown us. A little hard to do with a few rum & cokes under my belt! But a beautiful night it was!

Here is the very short slide show of our Friday night dusk hike. It was very hazy and very interesting. We saw a snake, a milk snake, which we mistook for a copperhead (evidently common according to my research!) and a fair share of frogs and 1 small lizard! Oh and I can't forget the raccoon that escaped us by climbing a tree!
